Research Paper Directions—Educational Leadership Topic
Choose your budget or school plant research paper topic. It is best to choose a budget area for just one campus, although a program or district budget paper is sometimes approved. Examples: The athletic budget on your high school campus; Title 1 budget for your campus; other “Title” programs for your campus; student activity accounts for your campus; PTA budget for your campus; how food service is funded in the district or on your campus; how your campus bilingual budget is determined; how the number of teachers for your campus is determined; special education funding/staffing for your campus; how your campus educational supply budget is determined and allocated; how campus maintenance projects are scheduled. Be sure to pick a topic for which you can find data! Note that you may have to interview the budget administrator to find information and to find answers to questions.
